i'm hoping that when i watch this i get some idea of what my father's cousin went through on Pelilieu, where he ultimately lost his life.

he's in this picture:

lower center, somewhat facing the camera. he was killed by a mortar.

i have met several ww2 marine vets through my dad and i hope that this does them justice. from what i have seen it should.

The problem with TV broadcasts is the mediocre sound. Either way, will download in 720p until the Bluray box is out tbh.

Yeap the sound always sucks. But it's better than nothing. I didn't watch BoB until the bluray set was out. But I am way too hyped for The Pacific so i wont be missing a single episode.
