Plenty of complex games out there. Baldur's Gate series, Ultima Series, Planescape Torment, Operation Flashpoint, ARMA, Project Reality (which is the biggest mod for BF2), Street Fighter 3, Starcraft, and the list goes on.

And you don't need to dumb down your games to make money. Look at how many copies Baldur's Gate 2 and Starcraft sold. Millions. But nowadays developers and publishers would rather take the safe route and make a really shallow game and cover it up with silly shit.

That was then. Game development costs a shit load more nowadays, and have to appeal to a much larger audience. Take a look at non fps games in the past years, most of the good ones are underrated and sell like shit.

that list of games is mostly simple shit. Baldur's gate was an awesome game but i felt it was easy to master. Flashpoint and arma are awesome as well and i had no problem playing those. Project reality was fucking amazing but still not complicated. Street fighter 3....really? Starcraft is like any other RTS game out there, simple.

maybe our definition of a complex game is just completely different. When something is complex i mean the game has almost dozens apon dozens of controls, requires many different strategies to fit different situations, and an ai that is complex. Ive only found a few games to truly pull this off and all of them have been simulators.

My definition of a complex game is something with deep game mechanics. Doesn't really matter if a game has like 200 keybinds or not.

And Starcraft does get pretty complex, at least when you get up to 200 actions per minute.

okay so just ran into a huge game breaking glitch...The game will not allow me to talk to anyone...not my crew members, not main characters that help with quests, edi, nothing. WTF ive tried restarting the game and reverting to an older save with no luck.

i thought it was funny that in both ME1 and ME2 that you're only in the milky way. You're not in any other galaxy.

it makes you feel so incredibly insignificant knowing there's still millions of galaxies.
